I'm Almost Bi?

So I read an entry on ImpossibleK's blog about Epstein's Sexual Orientation Test and decided to take it. It's short and sweet and probably not entirely accurate, but it's fun nonetheless.

The results show two numbers: a mean and a range, being your orientation and your flexibility, to maybe oversimplify.

My Mean Sexual Orientation is 8.5 (on a scale from 0-13, 0 being exclusively heterosexual, 13 being exclusively homosexual)
My Sexual Orientation Range is 3

Now, the questions obviously leave some factors not completely explained, and the results may or may not be totally indicative for most people, but I'm definitely on the homo side, and yet my somewhat narrow range could perhaps offer a glimpse into why the occasional girl actually turns my head...for a moment. *shrug and grin*

My mean score is 6.5, and my range is 7. Yeah, I thought the questions were too few, too simplistic, and too narrow. Though, like you said, fun to try out.

Congrats! I'm a 10 and 4. So much for marriage. ;)

6.5? Oh my, now I have little faith in the test 'cause let's be honest... ;-)

Ti voglio ringraziare for referencing my post! It's kinda cool to see it picked up here and on Northern Lights (so yeah, a big fat grazie to Ty for that as well)...
I know, I know... with 18 superficial, sexual questions, this quiz does seem a bit too simplistic. But sexual orientation is far too complex and personal to be easily explained with a quiz.
I'm strangely proud of my range (14)- even though I don't plan to physically act on my flexibility either way. :)

Ha ha, Shades, yes. You should probably bag the whole marriage idea. Hey, tests don't lie.

"K", I do have to say your flexibility is quite remarkable. I wonder how much your score would change if you just acted a little bit with someone and therefore had to change an answer or two. Maybe if you did something one way, you'd also dream about it, and this terrible domino effect would be underway, rocketing you solidly into heterosexually... ;-)

rocketing me solidly into heterosexuality? Why that direction and not the other? The only breakup I had was with a girl. Shouldn't that say something?
Seriously, though... I think it's about as hard for me to think of starting that "domino effect" with a guy as it is for you with a girl! For different reasons, though...

Hey, I didn't want to be the one to imply anything. ;-)

But yeah, I didn't mean to discount your situation, either.

Not to be a postwhore or anything, but I want to clarify my last comment so innocent readers don't assume I'm a closeted lesbian or anything.

Even though I'm super-flexible by Epstein's standards, I am and always will be asexual. So I'm fairly confident, even if I act one way, I still won't identify as a hetero/homosexual because I'll never have a strong enough attraction either way.

My mean, 1 - range 2. No surprise on my part. :) Phew. I thought I was straight!

My mean is 6.5 and my range is 3. According to this, I am the perfect bisexual. You can’t get more bi than that. I am smack dab in the middle of the scale, including my flexibility. I don’t think I agree with that, though. I am definitely much more interested in my own gender than the opposite. If I were to rewrite this survey, I would definitely give more options to answer - answers on a 7 point scale for example that could more accurately pinpoint ones attractions versus their values/actions (what they are willing to engage in - for example). It definitely could be written in a much better fashion.
